Our Story

Matt Vaughan, the founder of Final Piece, grew up with the internet. After years as a newspaper writer and PR/marketing account executive, he realized where the wind was blowing: the internet would transform how businesses communicate.

Considering a leap into his own business, he explained the idea to his wife. She suggested he was the “final piece” in someone’s business, and the name stuck.

Since 2010, Final Piece has steered small businesses through the confusing, overwhelming, and extremely useful landscape of the internet.

  • We’ll go back to our cave, create a strategy of how to get there and choose just what kinds of online and offline marketing vehicles are going to help us on the trip.
  • We’ll give you the plan and show you not only how we plan to get your business to the finish line, but how we’ll track our trip and make sure we don’t derail, crash or run out of gas.
  • We’ll keep you updated on a weekly and monthly basis for the entire trip with analytical reports that include graphs, metrics and measurement to show you our progress until we arrive at your destination.

Matt Vaughan

Principal

Matt started Final Piece Consulting in 2010 after working as a journalist, PR Account Executive and marketer. He enjoys (most) everything about the Internet and spends his free time with his wife and two small children. When he isn’t hard at work for his clients you can find him somewhere near a body of water, at the local pub yelling at one of his teams, or attempting to regain the athleticism of his youth.

Megan Riley

Digital Strategist

Megan started her career in IT networking but moved over to digital marketing because the hours were better. She is a SEO and Adwords wizard and enjoys finding new sources of traffic for websites. When she isn’t working on digital marketing strategy, she is a tour guide, taking small guided groups all over the world with her tour business, Peregrine West.

Focus: SEO, Adwords, Analytics, Digital Strategy, Content Creation

Angela McCain

Graphic Design

Angela grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Advertising. She loves spending her free time with her two sons, traveling and hanging out with friends and family. When Angela isn’t handling graphic design for clients, you can find her designing custom wedding stationery for brides all over the United States for her own business - Modern Mama Designs.

Tyler Bergholz

Creative Director

Tyler Bergholz was born in 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio and currently lives and works in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2002 he received a BA in Graphic Design from East Carolina University. His influences include Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns and Christopher Wool. He has worked as a graphic designer for multiple universities, as well as GNC, and his work is frequently exhibited.

Focus: Brand Development, Logo Creation, Advertisements, Marketing Materials, Graphic Design, Design/Illustration

Jon Dantzler

Multimedia Content Production

Jon is a writer, designer, and general purpose creative from Greensboro, North Carolina. He’s a swiss army knife of audio, video, and written content production. When he isn’t cranking out #Content, you can find him chilling with his cats, exploring new places with his wife, or obsessing over a new video game. He also runs a blog and YouTube channel called “Bread and Circuses.”

Michael V. Castro

Head of Video Production

Michael graduated from Living Arts College with a degree in Digital Film. He is the Recipient of a Telly Award, 3 Videographer Awards, and 3 Empixx Awards. Michael specializes in Cinematography, Digital Video Editing, and motion graphics. His mission is to be a leader in the video industry by providing superior quality videos and state of the art editing.
